Lab Details

Electric Circuits Laboratory


In the Electrical Circuit Lab students can create their own electrical circuits and do measurements on it. In the circuits the students can use resistors, light bulbs, switches, capacitors and coils. The circuits can be powered by a AC/DC power supply or batteries. There is an ammeter, voltmeter, wattmeter and an ohmmeter. There is also a version of the Electrical Circuit Lab in which data can be collected. Students can analyze the collected data by creating graphs of the data and use the graphs in the conclusion tool.

Electrical Machines Laboratory


The Electrical Machines Laboratory supports teaching; research and consultancy work on Electrical machines and drives. Through hands-on experiments with real machines, students gain practical experience on transformers and various types of machine drives. The laboratory can also be used for project work related to electrical machines and energy conversion.

Control and Instrumentation Laboratory


The Control Systems Laboratory aims to assist and promote teaching and experimental research in the fields of automatic control systems, robotics, nonlinear systems and circuits design, optimization and related technologies, targeting both academic leadership and commercial and industrial applications.

This is the lab which is very important for the basic knowledge about the various instruments with facilities for the group of 30 students to carry out experiments independently. The lab is well equipped and enables students to understand the fundamentals of various measuring instruments.

Power Electronics and Drives Laboratory


Power Electronics Lab is a universal learning platform which is very useful for Students to understand the concept of power electronics. Students can perform experiments like VI characteristics of the power electronic devices, single phase controlled rectifiers, DC-DC choppers etc. This Lab is provided with a bread board for testing their own circuits. Power Electronics Lab is provided with built-in AC & DC power supplies and exhaustive learning material. Power Electronics Lab is an ideal platform to enhance education, training, skills & development among our young minds.

Power system simulation laboratory


The laboratory is well equipped to meet the requirements of undergraduate as well as graduate studies and research work. Practical demonstrations by lab experiments for power system generation, transmission and distribution concepts. Students are familiarized with the use of digital computer in the different aspects of power system analysis by using different software programs such as Mathcad and MATLAB and PSCAD.
